The Claude Desk
Your home base for organizing your workday.
There are about 400 things you could do with Claude, and most of them are tangents you'll try once and never touch again. This is the one you'll actually use every day.
One page that shows you what actually needs you today. Claude reads your Slack, email, calendar and project tool a few times a day and sorts it into four short lists, so you stop scrolling channels to find the one decision someone is waiting on.

What is the Claude Desk?
The Claude Desk is a private dashboard you build inside your own Claude account. It connects to Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar and project tools like ClickUp or Asana, then checks them four times every weekday. Each check sorts what's new into four lists.
Needs you
The decisions, reviews and replies only you can do.
Talking points
What to bring up at your next 1:1, grouped by person.
Waiting on
What you've handed off and who has it.
Team open loops
Everyone else's work, visible but not yours to chase.
It only reads your apps by default. It never sends, posts or replies for you unless you set it up to.
Why I built it
I run Commonwealth Co., and my team works inside a lot of other people's businesses. That means a lot of Slack channels, a lot of email threads, and a lot of "wait, was I supposed to answer that?"
I didn't need another to-do app. I needed one page that told me what was actually mine. So I built it with Claude, and now it's the first thing I open every morning.
I also watch a lot of founders get lost in AI. New tool, new prompt pack, new rabbit hole, and a month later none of it is part of how they work. I wanted one thing that earned a spot in my day. This did.
This is the exact setup I use, cleaned up so you can build your own.
What you get
- A live example desk you can click through before you build anything
- Two fill-in-the-blank prompts: one builds your Desk, one keeps it updated on a schedule
- A step-by-step setup walkthrough you can finish in under 10 minutes
- How to make it yours: tell it what's working, what isn't and what you want different, and it remembers
- Answers to the questions everyone asks: is it safe, who can see it, what it costs
Who it's for
Founders, CEOs and operators who run a team and live in Slack and Gmail. If your day is back-to-back calls and you end it wondering what you missed, this is for you.
Solo? It still works. You'll use "Waiting on" for clients and contractors instead of staff.
What you need
- A Claude account (connectors and scheduled tasks depend on your plan)
- Slack
- Gmail and Google Calendar
- Optional: ClickUp, Asana, Notion, Monday or Trello
Questions people ask
Is the Claude Desk free?
Yes. The guide and prompts are free. The Desk runs inside your own Claude account, so what you can do depends on your Claude plan.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You paste two prompts into Claude and answer a couple of questions. Claude builds the page and sets up the schedule.
Will it send messages or emails as me?
Not unless you want it to. By default it only reads your apps. If you'd like it to draft replies or post a daily summary in Slack, you can tell Claude to add that.
Who can see my Desk?
Only you. It's a private page in your Claude account until you choose to share it.
Does it work with Asana, ClickUp or Notion?
Yes, if that tool is connected to your Claude account. Claude pulls in tasks assigned to you, tasks you assigned to others, and anything overdue.
How long does it take to set up?
Less than 10 minutes of your time. Claude does the building while you grab a coffee. From there, tell it what you want different whenever you notice something, and it remembers.
